Artifact# 2: BookCreator project
Standard 10 of the Maine CCTS:
Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning and creative processes.
Description of artifact: For this artifact, I chose our book creator project. For this, we were tasked with creating an ebook using the BookCreator website. The book I created detailed all of the different parts of a castle and it included multimedia to make sure all learning types were accounted for and the reading was engaging.

Artifact reflection: This artifact connects to Standard ten is because Bookcreator can be used to create things like class textbooks. These class textbooks will be written by the students on a topic covered in class. This type of assignment promotes Collaboration because the students will have to break up the subject into chapters or pages that they could work on in groups. BookCreator also provokes creativity from students because they can choose from a multitude of tools from text to audio and video in order to complete their goal. Finally, these books can be used as a formative/summative assessment that will let the teacher see if a student has a deep and conceptual understanding of the topic.
